IHSE extends the unique Draco ultra KVM extender series to include additional video standards
Oberteuringen, 13th September 2017 – IHSE announces additions to the Draco ultra KVM extenders series with new models for high-definition video transmission of HDMI and DVI Dual Link signals. These models supplement the original DisplayPort extenders. All types employ the highly-efficient Lici® video codec developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) to provide the most efficient levels of HD and UHD video transmission.
The combination of the successful modular Draco vario concept and the Fraunhofer IIS Lici® codec creates highly flexible, high-performance KVM extenders that adapt dynamically to the available bandwidth to transfer high-resolution images in brilliant quality with no perceivable transmission delay or loss of image quality.
Following the introduction of the successful pioneer Draco ultra DisplayPort Extender, which has already proven itself in many high-resolution, safety-critical applications, the Draco ultra range now includes variants for DisplayPort 1.1/1.2, DVI Dual-Head and DVI Dual Link monitors. This series will soon be supplemented by a version for HDMI 2.0.
With the Draco ultra Dual-Head, two DVI monitors can be connected via a single cable. The Dual Link version extends DVI signals at up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. Draco ultra HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 enable the transfer of 4K video at 60 fps at up to DCI and UHD resolution with integrated audio transmission and playback directly on screen.
Draco ultra KVM extenders are essential in systems that demand reliable real-time access to remote computer content with high image resolution and minimal cabling. They are ideal for use in film and TV applications, post production and control room monitoring stations.
The new models in the Draco ultra series will be demonstrated at IBC in Amsterdam, from 15 to 19 September, 2017 on booth 7B.30.
